Guide
How to set up a league, what the scorer treats as the rules, and what you need in the room. This page does not replace a league’s own constitution.
Set up a league
Sign in on the website from any computer or tablet with an internet connection. Open Leagues. Enter the league name, the season (for example 2026/27) and the night you play. Wednesday is the suggested night until you change it. Then choose Create league and continue.
The setup screens are, in order:
- League name. The name, the season and the play night.
- Clubs / teams. Add each club, or paste several names with one club on each line. You need at least two clubs before fixtures can be built.
- Match format. How many games of each type, the starting score, and best of 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 or 15. Set a type to 0 if you do not play it.
- Players. Add each player to a club. You can add more later, including from the Players page.
- Divisions. One division is enough. Use this step when the league has more than one division.
- Fixtures. The weekly schedule. A fixture is not finished setup until it has a date.
A new league starts with this format, which you can change on the format screen:
- 3 pairs games, starting at 501, best of 3
- 6 singles games, starting at 501, best of 3
- Foursomes and threesomes are available. They stay unused while their count is 0.
Starting scores you can choose are 301, 501, 701 and 1001.
After setup, the league office keeps Tonight, Fixtures, the league table, Clubs, Players, Match format, Statistics and Results together for that league and season. Another login cannot see that league.
On the night
- The league on this website is stored on the server. You do not need to leave an organiser computer switched on, and you do not need to stay signed in after the boards are set up.
- Each scoring phone or tablet needs an internet connection. Open Tonight, then Tablets, and scan that board’s QR code on the device at the board. A scoring QR is only for scoring that board. A spectator page cannot score.
- If a scoring device loses its connection, the visit stays on that device and is sent when the connection returns. It is not sent twice. The next match still needs the server.
- Open Live wall on a television or laptop the room can see. That screen also needs the internet.
- Players can use Find a player for a result. The scores from each visit are listed only when they were saved.
In the room you need one phone or tablet for each board that is scoring at the same time, and a screen if you want a live wall.
A visit is kept on that scoring tablet before it is sent. Refreshing the page or closing the browser does not throw those unsent visits away. When the connection returns they are sent in order. Sending the same visit again does not add it twice. The tablet shows Saved, Saving, or Offline — scores saved on this device. If another device has changed the match, or the tablet cannot store the visit, it shows Needs attention and does not treat that visit as saved.
Opening the next match, or moving a winner on in a tournament, still needs the server. The rest of the website is not an offline program.
Scoring rules
These are the rules the scorer already uses. They are not a fine list or a county rule book.
- Each visit is a total that can be thrown with one, two or three darts. A miss counts as 0. Singles, doubles, trebles, the outer bull and the bullseye are allowed. A total such as 179 cannot be thrown, so the scorer refuses it and leaves the score where it was.
- The leg uses the starting score chosen for that game. A new league’s pairs and singles start at 501.
- Finish on a double. The bullseye, 50, counts as a double.
- A bust scores nothing for that visit. The remaining score goes back to what it was at the start of the visit. Going below 0 is a bust. Leaving 1 is a bust. Reaching 0 is a checkout only when a double-out in three darts is possible. Otherwise that visit is a bust.
- Best of 3 means the first player to win 2 legs, unless that match is set to play every leg. Best of 5 means first to 3, and the same pattern follows for the other best-of choices.
- When a leg is checked out, the scorer asks how many darts that checkout took, and only offers a number of darts that can finish that score.
League table
A new league gives 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 for a loss. Those points are for the team result on the league table.
Tournaments
From home, open Tournaments. The formats already in the product are knockout, round robin, Swiss, double elimination and pairs. A one-off competition is separate from a league season. Boards, entrants, results and statistics stay with the competition you have open.
Results and statistics
A finished game shows its result. The three-dart average, 180s and checkout use the visits that were actually saved. If a result was stored without those visits, the game is result only and is not given an average of 0. A scheduled date is shown separately from the date the match was played, when both were saved. Brought forward means it was played before the scheduled date. Postponed means it was played later. Rescheduled means the playing week changed and the game has not been played yet. An early game is still one result. It is not marked as invalid.
Your own regulations
Who may play, postponements, fines, fees and protest deadlines belong to your league. Those rules stay with the organiser. This guide explains how the scorer behaves. It does not replace your league’s own regulations.
